She Knits: Big Sister’s Bunny

Sprout loved the little gray bunny I made for her expected little brother. Although, she didn’t know it was for him… so to avoid any confusion down the road, I made her a bunny all her own. A girl bunny, suitable for a big sister. 🙂

Started — August 13
Completed — August 14
Duration — 1 day = 0.1 weeks

Pattern Info
Sunny Bunny by Sarah Youde

I made few changes to the pattern this time. I mirrored decreases whenever possible. And I added a bow — a garter stitch rectangle 4 stitches wide by 10 rows. The bow shape was achieve by pinching the middle when sewing it on.

Yarn Info
Red Heart Shimmer
97% acrylic, 3% metallic
Ivory — 0.4 skeins = 112.0 yds used

Pisgah Yarn & Dyeing Co., Inc. Peaches & Creme
100% cotton
Burgundy — 0.03 skeins = 3.5 yds used

Both of these were leftover stash yarns. The Shimmer yarn is perfect for a girl bunny — very soft with just a hint of sparkle. 🙂
