She Knits: Little Gentleman’s Vest

This vest is for Jelly Bean, intended to fit him over the winter. I think the buttons give it a distinguished, gentlemanly appearance. πŸ™‚ The buttons were found in the button stash I inherited from my Nana.

Started — July 3
Completed — July 7

This was a very quick knit, being made up in a bulky yarn. But I didn’t find and sew the buttons on until today.

Danny’s Vest by Samiha Qureshi

The designer warns that this is an untested, rough pattern. The pattern is not polished, but is sufficient. In a few parts, I had to wing it a little, but I think it made a cute vest in the end.

Yarn Info
Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky
100% wool
Silver colorway
0.73 skeins = 100.0 yards used

(How’d I manage to use exactly 100 yards?!) This is the same gray from Sprout’s 2T sweater, so they will match a little next winter. πŸ™‚ It is squishy and warm — what more could you want?

    • The pattern is actually pretty simple and the yarn is bulky. πŸ™‚ That helps it knit up very quickly. And I *did* spend more time knitting during those day than normal. Thanks, though!
