She Knits: Sprout’s Summer Romper

A romper is basically an extended onesie with short legs. I found this pattern early in my pregnancy and knew I wanted to knit it.

This was a great pattern with very clear instructions. I knit the 3-month size with short sleeves and legs, hoping it will fit Baby in the summer time. I do wish I would have done the button bands in some other stitch, other than stockinette. The inside bands that the buttons are attached to curl pretty badly.

I really love that it has buttons at the bottom for diaper access.

Yarn Info
Knit Picks Comfy Worsted
75% cotton, 25% acrylic
Jalapeno: 0.47 skeins = 51.2 yds used
Silver Sage: 1.62 skeins = 176.6 yds used

I chose this yarn mostly for the fiber content. Being mostly cotton, it is very light for summer time. The acrylic blended in helps the cotton maintain its shape. I’m interested to see if this starts to sag while worn.
