She Knits: Sprout’s Pants

I’ve made more progress on the baby knitting front by completing these pants for Ladybug. That’s right… I said ladybug because Sprout is a Little Miss! I am glad I chose yarn for her hand-knits before knowing her gender because now that I know she’s a girl, I am much more attracted to pink and might have ended up knitting everything in pink for her!

Progression:
Started — November 28
Completed — December 15

Pattern Info:
b21-36 “Cozy and Cute” by DROPS design
Ravelry

Yes, another DROPS pattern. I am enjoying these patterns more all the time and chose this pattern over others like it just for the designer company. The pants were simple to knit, worked from the waist down. I knit the 1-3 month size, though they look large, so I am anxious to see when (and for how long) they fit Baby. We intend to cloth diaper, so I think the extra space in the back will actually be a blessing.

Yarn Info:
Knit Picks Stroll Sport
75% superwash merino, 25% nylon
Rainforest Heather
2 skeins = 274 yds used

This yarn is very soft and cuddly, and I really love the jewel-toned color I chose. These pants are machine-washable, but I will likely wash them by hand so they will last through multiple babies.
