She Stitches: Four Seasons Birds

The guest bathroom walls have been barren since we moved in, and I’ve itched to find something (or make something) nice to hang in there. I came across this cross-stitch kit in Wal-Mart many months ago, and finally determined it was just the thing.

999-2017 Four Seasons Birds
Manufactured by Janlynn

This is another simple cross-stitch kit from Janlynn that comes with 14-count Aida fabric, 6-strand cotton floss, pattern graph, and a set of instructions. This one was a little more difficult than the Collecting Shells design I’ve stitched previously–this bird design had many more colors and involved a lot more back-stitching.

I framed this design very simply with a plastic black frame from Wal-Mart. I was surprised to find a size frame that would work because our store is not “super” and has a very, very small selection of frames. The design finished at about 16.5″ x 7.5″ and is framed to 17″ x 10″, I think.
