She Knits: Sprout’s Striped Hat

This is baby knit #2 and was another very fast project. As is, this hat looks masculine, so if we find out we are having a girl, I will probably crochet a pink bow or flower to attach to the front to spruce it up. 🙂

Progression:
Started — November 18
Completed — November 18

Pattern Info:
Basic Baby Hat by Heather Tucker
Ravelry

This is a simple baby hat. I knit the newborn size and incorporated a white stripe pattern because I did not have enough of the gray yarn.

Yarn Info:
Knit Picks Swish DK
Dove Heather
100% superwash merino wool
0.36 skeins = 44.3 yds used

Bernat Baby Sport Solid
white
100% acrylic
0.02 skeins = 21.5 yds used

When I finished this hat, I was left with less than 1 gram of gray yarn left! Cut it quite close, but I love using up leftovers… and what better to go with a sweater than a matching hat?
