She Crochets: Mom’s Blanket

This is a blanket I crocheted for my mom.

Progression:
Started — April 5
Completed — September 3

Pattern Info:
Heirloom Afghan by Darla Sims
Leisure Arts #555, 63 Easy-to-Crochet Pattern Stitches

This is a pattern I’ve had in my library for a long time. I bought it shortly after I learned to crochet and made a small 24-square lap blanket. Even then, I was determined I would someday work up the entire blanket. Now that I’ve done it, I don’t know that I’ll do it again, but I am very pleased with the result.

Yarn Info:
Caron Simply Soft
100% acrylic
Pistachio, 3.93 skeins = 1,238 yds used
Passion, 3.73 skeins = 1,175 yds used
Off-White, 4.5 skeins = 1,417.5 yds used

Photos:
I can’t find the pictures of this blanket on my computer, but you can see them on my Ravelry page (even if you aren’t a member) by visiting this link.
